Reviews - Skip's Bagel Deli
Reviews summary
Skips, a local gem, offers a simple yet satisfying menu that attracts breakfast lovers. Patrons rave about the fresh bagels, particularly their potato, jalapeño, and flavored varieties, though some critique their consistency and portion sizes. While certain bagels may lack the chewy authenticity of New York-style, they still thrill with soft, sizable options ideal for sandwiches. Breakfast dishes like the Western omelette receive high praise for their generous fillings, though some items may not meet expectations in flavor or execution. Despite occasional shortcomings, Skips remains a popular stop for hearty fare and a fulfilling breakfast experience.

Skip's Bagel Deli offers an absolutely delightful selection of NY-style bagels and sandwiches on their menu. While they may not be the epitome of true New York style—lacking that signature chew and being a bit fluffier—they're still perfect for crafting sandwiches. The bagels are large, incredibly soft, and come with a variety of delicious spreads. Their chicken noodle soup features tasty dumpling-style noodles, addi... View all feedback.
What Kevin Horton dislikes about Skip's Bagel Deli:
We've been fans of Skips for a while, but lately it seems like their portions have been getting smaller with each visit. When you pay extra for certain cream cheeses, you expect them to at least cover the bagel, but that hasn't been the case. I’ve attached a photo of what I got today; this is supposed to be jalapeño cream cheese, but there's hardly enough to spread on the bagel. I didn't take a picture of the other h... View all feedback.

Trying out different spots in the area and was craving a bagel. Being used to NY bagels, I tend to be picky about them. The bagel here did not seem fresh- almost like it was a frozen bagel that was toasted. I wished the olive cream cheese had moreolives. The egg, cheese and potato breakfast burrito was good, although my last bite had a potato that was firm and slightlyundercooked.
Follow me for more reviews! I just love this place! I've started a habit of going here on Sunday morning before hitting the grocery. If you leave here hungry tell me how! Everything I have tried has been good and portions are plentiful. I always leavewith a full tummy. This morning I had a freshly made Farmer's Potato omelet that came with a bagel of my choice. I opted forthe jalapeno bagel. Everything was prepared quickly and the bagel had a nice chewy bite and wonderful flavor. We had threeadults eating and each had a drink and the bill was $32 ?? So there is a reason you shouldn't go to this place late in the morning... the line starts in Liberty Township, lol. The bagels are solid, some of the best. Kids love the strawberry ones, they sell out quick. We were there at open and all thebagels were fresh and hot at first we thought they Toasted them all! Had a breakfast sandwich on Jalepeno bagel and it wasamazing. Well worth the stop, go early!!!
Ordered salmon, caper, cream cheese, lettuce, tomato onion on everything bagel. They forgot capers, which is key ingredient for this combo. But gave me a side when I went back up to counter. Everything bagel has coarse salt on it (think carnival pretzel),which overpowers all other flavors, so I had to ditch the top half of the bagel. First time I've ever seen a bagel salted... andit was too much. Portion size was good. Also got potato salad which was good. And a cinnamon crunch bagel with apple cinnamoncream cheese, which was really tasty; though I do think Panera's cinnamon sugar bagel beats it. I would return but definitelystay away from the salty everything bagel.
