Sad that the place was empty even for a Tuesday between Christmas and New Year's. I recognize that these are challenging times for restaurants, especially one offs, which we like to support over chains. Servers pleasant and helpful, but service was slow. Disappointed to see $6 on our bill for butter $3 per bread basket) without being told in advance. Salads never arrived, and we did not miss them. 20% tip added to the bill for table of 6, which is okay, but it included wine purchased before seating at the bar, where we tipped separately. We were long time customers of Vincenzo's, and we hope Porta Nera survives and flourishes.

My wife and I went there, not really trying to keep the price down- and even with a bottle of wine on top of antipasti to start- and it was just over 100 bucks. For a date night, great food, and a nice cozy spot and very ambient noise levels, I’d say it’s hard to beat! Service was great, everyone seemed informative and polite. We will definitely be going back!

I should also mention the menu was very interesting and very tasty so there were many great choices to choose from. Great job
