Meritage
Description
Meritage offers an inviting ambiance enhanced by live music, making it a popular choice for celebrations. The food quality shines, particularly standout dishes like prime rib and pork chop, though pricing can feel steep. Service experiences vary, with some patrons noting lapses in attention and menu clarity. While the drink selection is praised, noise levels can disrupt conversations. Despite some inconsistencies in service, many diners express a strong desire to return, drawn by the comforting cuisine and warm setting. Overall, Meritage stands out as a place that balances vibrant atmosphere with a memorable dining experience.

I visited this restaurant for my sister's birthday dinner, and it coincidentally fell on wine night, so we enjoyed half-priced wine bottles. They had three specials that we ordered, and each one was delicious! Our server was very attentive, and the manager was incredibly helpful and kind. We all agreed that we would definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful meal!
It’s always a delight to enjoy a fantastic meal, and this past Sunday, the musicians truly enhanced our experience.
The food was great and the service was excellent. I used to come to the previous restaurant to see my friend perform upstairs. They had a guitarist playing upstairs which is nice they are still doing the music. We were in the private event room this time though. The Creme Brulee was also amazing.
We decided to try Meritage on NYE. We had early reservations for a family of 4. We chose our meals and received our appetizer before the bread we were promised first. We constantly felt rushed throughout our meal. My scallop meal was just ok. There were items on the plate not mentioned on the menu...such as red peppers in the scallop sauce. We looked back and saw it mentioned on the appetizer menu, not the dinner menu. There was a ton of rice with whole peppercorns (not something i enjoyed biting into), 4 smaller scallops with red pepper (if I had known they were there, I would have asked them to remain off or switched entrees). And cold glazed carrots, which were actually delicious but were not in the least bit warm. The final no-no was while waiting for our dessert, we were handed our check. Again, our server, while very nice, did not know her menu and was trying to turn her table as fast as possible. We were just out for a long overdue family dinner where we could enjoy our food, the company in a relaxing manner. Unfortunately, Meritage did not live up to these expectations. I am sure it will be a long while before we considering trying Meritage again.
