Joella's Fried Chicken offers a mixed dining experience, highlighted by its delectable fried chicken and warm service. While many rave about the juicy and tender wings, crafted to serve a variety of spice levels, some customers have raised concerns over limited vegan options and occasionally inconsistent heat. The mac and cheese garners universal praise for its flavor, while fries and green beans are noted as standout sides. Despite minor critiques regarding oiliness and dessert selections, the restaurant's inviting atmosphere and dedicated staff create an enjoyable visit, especially for those craving comfort food near local landmarks.

Was Thomas Murphy at Joella's a mag?
Wow! I ordered the big letters and big wings, and the chicken was fantastic—super tender and juicy. The wings were much larger than I expected. I tried the Tweener heat level, which was just the right amount of warmth; it made my nose run a little, but it wasn't overwhelming. What Kaley Bosco dislikes about Joella's:
I believe that Joella's attempt to incorporate a dish called hot chicken into their menu was unsuccessful. The flavor and texture of the soy-based hemp protein were lacking. I would not recommend dining here. View all feedback.

I don't know why I assumed they would have more vegan options. I needed to find a quick meal for my family, and they only had one vegan dish which was disappointing. I tried the vegan burger and the sweet dessert, both of which were not good. The fries were the highlight of my meal.

Joella is in a fantastic location! The service was exceptional and the food was top-notch! Robin treated us like family and took excellent care of my party of three. I highly recommend checking it out!

We'll definitely return when we’re in the area again!

Close to the baseball stadium. Great chicken! We had the honey mustard and the spiked honey dipping sauce. The Spiked Honey is described as Honey with Frank's Red Hot.. It should be described as Frank's Red Hot with a hint of honey. It's pretty much Frank's with nothing else. The craft drinks are really good as well. Especially the vanilla creme soda. Sadly they were out of banana pudding which I was really hoping for.

Had Big wings platter: 3 whole wings with a side, i took Mac n cheese. Very well seasoned wings, different taste than other wing places. But it was very very OILY, and that's why I would rate it 3.5. The wings were served on top of a piece of bread to absorb the excess oil. Looks like it's their style but the skin was still very oily. See the pictures, oil was dripping out the serving sheet. Inside the wing was good- tender seasoned. They also have white/dark meat quarters in the menu. Mac and cheese was awesome, loved the herby flavor. I went on a busy Friday lunch and waited for almost 15 minutes for the order to be plated, not bad. Staff are really nice. Prime location but no parking.
