I used to live in Cincinnati and Izzy's was a place where we frequented often. Every time we are in Cincy, we always make sure to visit Izzy's. Their beef barley soup is absolutely delicious. And don't forget to try their potato pancakes too. View all feedback.
What Laura D doesn't like about Izzy's:
The food at this restaurant was disappointing. The sandwich bread and potato pancake were soggy and tasteless, and the pasta salad was overly sweet and served in a small portion for the price. Additionally, the carrot cake icing lacked tanginess and tasted more like cinnamon roll icing. Overall, not a great dining experience. View all feedback.
The last remaining Izzy's on the east side of Cincinnati. Still true to the original goodness of the main location downtown. Great food and customer service. Wish for more locations.
Always get a pastrami sandwich that is my favorite. The meat is perfectly seasoned, thin and tasty. It comes with an enormous potato pancake that is perfectly fried and seasoned. This meal is my favorite. Today I was just not in the mood for pastrami, so I tried the egg salad sandwich. OMG! That was homemade egg salad. I just want me to be made at home and oh so delicious, without all the peeling of eggs. I was so happy. It will be difficult next time, I go to try to eat here to decide what to get, but a worker Ther told me I can get half of everyone for a meal so that I am elated.. can not wait to go back.. love this place.
I have never been here before. It was very good. Stephen was our server. He patiently explained everything perfectly to us. We had the Ruben and Joe Walters. Out of both of them I loved the Ruben the best. We were given kosher pickles at the table.
I'd never been here before. The reuben was incredible. Flavorful throughout, moist bread...every bite was delicious. It came with a potato pancake that was the perfect balance of crispy outside and soft inside with great seasoning. If you don't like reubens, there are plenty of other items to try, and they're probably just as good!
I ordered the new Angus Melt sandwich. I was the best roast beef sandwich I've ever had from a restaurant. The meat was plentiful, tender, seasoned and Tasted like beef. The grilled onions and banana peppers and cheese elevated the sandwich to the next level. Hopefully this will be a regular item on the menu.
