Overall the food was ok. The service was fairly quick even though they were busy. It’s no dine in to go orders only and a pretty limited menu. I decided to get the whiting a regular recommended it was just an average but 5 pieces for $12 is super affordable. View all feedback.

I promise you will no be dissatisfied with the cod perch or whiting they are all phenomenal. Cod is hands down my favorite but all three are phenomenal. It's not located in the ideal place but I'm here to tell you they make up for it with some good ol soul food! Alabamas should be a bucket list item for every American! I love the whiting fish. My partner prefers the cod. The last few times I have purchased, my whiting tasted old or possibly freezer burned. At least dry. I will try it again but one more bad experience and I am done.Food: 4/5
Fish was still tasty but prices have ballooned. I'm not sure how it doubled in price so quickly. It was so unique putting your own hot sauce ketchup and mustard on your fish there in the store and having the option to get your fries on the side. So now the prices have increased but the service/options have diminished. Alabama's has been a part of the urban community for so long it feels like they forget where they are a bit now. Last visit I saw hardly any interaction with the patrons, workers just talked amongst themselves. Its missing something that I hope they get back. Again food was mostly okay, fish seems much smaller in portion size though. All of these things can be rectified imo and you'll keep me a customer for life
