Three weeks eating our way across Italy, this was the find of finds! Bar none! We were passing through to visit my wife's grandfathers birthplace. This restaurants was not our destination, but will be next trip. The your lady who served us was very personable and her mother, the cook, was masterful. I offered to take her home with us to California but she refused. The ravioli was fresh, delicious (actually incredibly delicious) as were the other dishes and so very, very reasonable. If you anywhere in this area, don't miss it! Other positive......we were the only non-locals.

In Settime, perhaps a 15 minute drive from Asti center, the (winter) location is warm and inviting, as is the owner and staff. The food is very simple, but the ingredients are good, and the portions avg>large. Three of us shared 1/2liter of white (house) wine, 1L of Barbera (house). We also had five different things for antipasti (egg salad, turkey, beans and quiche, tomina the local, and very good soft cheese red peppers with anchovy. Each of us had a primi agnolotti and tagliata, then two of us had secondi veal scallopine and mialle/sliced pork. And finally we each had caffé. The bill was €72.The seating/venue changes slightly in the summer months as the 'neighbors ' have complained about the noise, so instead of the charming room we had last night (in the main house) the location is a short walk away at a more anonymous setting. The food is simple, typical (the agnolotti was prepared without egg), so don 't go there necessarily for the food. But if you 're going with friends, the atmosphere and good company should more than make up for the basic nature of the dishes. The house wine is good, fresh and very adequate.

Nice week of Golf in Piedmont. Feudo was the best place which we visited. The course by Graham Cooke is in the hilly mountains of Monferrato. The food was great and specially the wine. For sure I will be back.

Piedmontese mixed fried food, as tradition dictates!

A typical Piedmontese restaurant with excellent food. The service is also fast and very friendly. I definitely recommend it.
