Was User at Mako’s On The Creek a mag?
I have a gluten allergy and love how this restaurant clearly marks its menu for products with gluten, milk and nuts. There are several menu options for me beyond a salad and I appreciate that. My server was incredibly friendly and delightful, it seemed to be thrilled to be at work. She was also very attentive and asked questions about the way I ordered my meal, which calm me down. My husband enjoys all the gluten and... View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Mako’s On The Creek:
The server we had was fantastic. Just wanted to state that first (5 stars for service) The food however, wasn't good. It was poorly made, burnt, tasted like fast food and was way overpriced. I couldn't believe they were charging $20 a plate. This place has so much potential ans it saddens me to place this review..but you can't charge high prices for low quality food. View all feedback.

Food was absolutely delicious! Someone else said this place is a hidden gem and they were right! We forgot to take pictures because we were so busy digging in! We were celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday and the restaurant allowed me to drop a cake off earlier in the day to surprise my mom with when we came for our reservation! Our waitress was so incredibly sweet and attentive. I forgot to bring candles but to my surprise there was a beautiful candle on the cake when she brought it out! Don’t miss out on Mako’s! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Levantine Dip Trio

What has changed here? A new chef? This place used to be storming with customers, but now the restaurant was less than half full on a Saturday at 7:30p. The portions were SMALL for the high prices they charge and the taste of the food was disappointing at best. Service: Dine in Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Super excited to try this place. It wasn't busy for a Friday night. Really disappointed once we ordered 2 of their $30 meals... one being the paella and the other being the scallops. The scallops were served on the risotto. The risotto was not good at all, my husband agreed, dry, bland and crunchy. Sadly, the waitress didn't offer a complementary side to substitute. The collards were great, though we had to pay for them. So basically got 3 scallops for $11 each? : Boo.

Nice but casual steakhouse. Very impressed by the fried Brussels sprouts. Boneless ribeye was tender and juicy but I have to admit I wasn?t expecting the steak to be pre-sliced and I think I prefer it not to be. Was only one of a few tables for Sunday dinner. Service was very good.

My husband and I love coming here on special occasions and date nights. There is no other place like Mako 's. The food is always outstanding and the creek area is like a meadow. My absolute favorite dish is the Diver Scallops they are always perfectly cooked, buttery, and light. The pea tendril risotto is comfort food at it 's finest! The poached pear with TRUE vanilla bean ice cream dessert is decadent and another one of my all time favorites. However, everything on the menu is eclectic, exciting and delicious! From Spanish octopus to watermelon mint gazpacho you will not be disappointed. Their wedge salad with lardon sprinkles is a dream. I can 't wait to come back : other succulent staples include their Seafood Paella which includes fragrant saffron risotto, Bacon Fat Braised Collards that are dripping in deliciousness, Salmon Tartare (salmon chicharron is a must try , and Chickpea Crusted Salmon the moussaka is warm and full of tasty spices. So many great options and reasonable prices with super sweet waitstaff.

Great ambiance on the patio, enjoyed the live guitarist. Hospitable service. A bit pricey for the area, but wanted to try it once. Enjoyed the cajun chicken and the burger.

We went on a lunch date during the week. It wasn't crowded and had a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and our waiter was quick with service. The food and drinks are okay. We didn't make reservations and were seated upon arrival. Depending on the day/time and party size may want to call ahead to reserve seating. It did take a while for the food to arrive even with the appetizer ordered. I would recommend stopping by and trying it out. It didn't blow my socks off, but it was still a pleasant dining experience.

Makos by the ditch. Avoid this place unless you want to spend hours here, slow service and mediocre appetizers...hour and a half and they said our food would take another 20 minutes. They were not that busy...ridiculous. We decided to leave instead of waste more time.

We tried this on a whim and we're not disappointed. The food was amazing! We started with a reddish carpaccio appetizer. It was served on a crispy flatbread and was delicious. For entrées each of the people in our party chose seafood dishes but there are also steaks, burgers and other meat dishes. The Mussels had a rich sauce with andouille sausage as a highlight. I had the seared scallops and they were divine. The redfish was also perfectly cooked. The theme of all three dishes was rich flavorful sauce. We finished with a pear poached in port wine a la mode. The ice cream was flavorful with an added spice blend. Service was attentive and quick. We sat in the bar area and were entertained by trivial pursuit cards on the table and college football on the TV. The restaurant seems very new but everything is running very smoothly. We look forward to our next visit!

Mako's on the Creek: where dining feels like an extreme sport for your wallet, plunging deep into financial waters with little chance of recovery! Their Old Fashioned could inspire a Prohibition revival, as it's hard to enjoy a drink that’s so tragically poor. Get ready for the deep-fried Brussels sprouts, which aim for culinary excellence but instead crash into burnt mediocrity. They’re not just fried; they’re given a dramatic send-off in the fryer. Rumor has it these sprouts have endured more heat lamps than a lizard in a pet store! Now let’s discuss the entrées. If you’re ever in the mood for food that embodies the essence of indifference, Mako's has mystery box dishes that make every bite feel like a miss. The flavors are so bland that even salt seems pointless. After walking out $125 poorer, the only truly gourmet aspect of the experience is the exorbitant bill. You might even find yourself searching for hidden cameras, wondering if you're part of a joke. Honestly, you’d be better off at Taco Bell; at least their sense of adventure doesn’t feel like a heist. As for the ambiance, nothing greets you like the scent of a mop bucket wafting in as you enter, evoking memories of cleaning day at a school cafeteria. In summary, Mako's is the ideal spot for thrill-seekers in search of disappointment, adventurers of bland meals, or anyone looking to frivolously spend money in a venue where the mishaps are the main attraction. Bon appétit!

Mako's On The Creek is one of my favorite places to dine with my daughter. Don't miss the brunch! It's especially enjoyable when there's live music and pleasant weather— the outdoor seating is just ideal.
