A group of us just had lunch at this pub and really enjoyed the food. The service was a little slow as they had another large group in and not a lot of staff working in the kitchen. One of the serving staff did apologize for the long wait which was nice, but they possibly need to consider this as like us most people only have an hour for lunch and our meal was only served after 45 mins.Once the food arrived the meals... This is what I sent to the Churchill Pub on 17/7/17. Two weeks and still no reply. My wife and I attended Churchill hotel for a meal with six other people on 14/07/17 for dinner. I had a Parma which I did'nt finish . It was very dry and unappealing, I can only assume that the item was frozen to begin with. I made mention to a young girl that cleared the table of my opinion of the meal and she said that she would pass... View all feedback.
If you ever find yourself in the Latrobe Valley, be sure to visit these young owners! Whether you're looking for delicious pub meals or budget-friendly accommodation, they've got you covered. Guy and Stacey are the friendliest and most welcoming owners we've ever encountered, and their charming staff and tasty meals make for a fantastic experience.
Great they have a whole vegetarian menu and 3 of the options are vegan and cheap. that is not something I expect from the only beautiful place to eat in a small town. I had the risotto, which was very nice, cost $16 and was worth it. the personal, sophie in particular were very helpful in explaining what can be made vegan. we came once in a large group without warning and they were very accommodating. it was disappointing that when I came here for a function, the only vegan option was available an salat, while other burgers and other actual main dishes got. in my opinion, it was somewhat unthinkable to offer only one salad, after which I had to starve and cook at home a meal when they offer in the really great vegan options.
Good typical Australian pub setting and eating. we had lunch. the pub was not too busy. the personal was friendly and the service was generally good. we had only net. the marinara pasta was delicious. the kalbsparma was also good, but came with an unhealthy amount of fryed. overall a good point, but nothing outstanding to cause that you go out of the way to dine here.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. They offer a whole vegetarian menu with three vegan options that are also inexpensive, which was a pleasant surprise for the only dining option in a small town. I tried the risotto for $16 and it was delicious. The staff, particularly Sophie, were very helpful in customizing dishes to make them vegan. Even when we came in with a large group without a reservation, they were very accommodating. However, I was disappointed when I attended a function at the restaurant and the only vegan option available was a salad while others enjoyed burgers and other main dishes. Overall, it was a bit disappointing to have only one salad option, but the overall experience was positive.
On Saturday evening, I went to Churchill Hotel with three friends for a steak dinner. We arrived at 6:00 and had a drink while we waited for our table. We placed our order at 6:25. The first steak arrived at 6:45, cooked rare as ordered but not blue. The second steak came at 6:55 along with fish and chips. By 7:10, my medium rare Scotch fillet still had not arrived, so I went to ask about it. I left the waiting line when a waitress brought what appeared to be a steak dinner to our table, only to realize it was not mine. Overall, the experience ended on a disappointing note.
