Sammy's Restaurant Bar - Chula Vista

I am giving this restaurant 4 stars based on Pepe, the food quality, and taste. The food was excellent - I ordered a lobster bisque soup, a turkey sandwich with house fries and coleslaw, chicken Alfredo fettuccine, garlic chicken wings, and chicken noodle soup. The service from our female server, Claudia, was lacking. She seemed new and struggled with simple tasks like providing utensils, napkins, and refilling water glasses. She even stuck her thumb in my soup. However, Pepe's exceptional service made up for it. He went above and beyond, bringing us complimentary appetizers and desserts and making a strong drink to make up for a mistake. The ambience and decor of the restaurant were also excellent.

The patio at this restaurant is stunning, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. It took a little while to be greeted by our server, but once our order was taken, everything moved quickly. Our food was beautifully presented and fresh, and the coffee was delicious!

The food lacked flavor, my water had unexpected fruit floating inside, and when I asked for a new cup, it tasted like lemons despite having no actual lemons in it. The outdoor seating area was not well-maintained.

I absolutely love this place! My husband plays at the tables, I enjoy an amazing meal! The French toast smelt amazing! I got the chicken the first time, and it is delicious! The second time I got the Caesar salad with blackened chicken, and a dessert. Lettuce was fresh and green! I ended up waiting 45 minutes for a server the 2nd time, but the food and service made up for it!

We went for the bottomless mimosas. We got there around 11:30 a.m and stayed until almost 1:30 a.m. The ?bottomless? mimosas were $20 per person and 1 was $9 so I thought it was a steal. Wrong. We were there for 2 hours and only got 4 mimosas each. Our server was Isabel and she kept making excuses for the wait. When I complained to another waitress, she got them almost immediately. I would not go back. I?m only rating this 2 stars because of the scenery in the patio andthe blt was good.
