Filippi's Pizza Grotto Chula Vista

We have been attending for several years and this is our favorite branch of all The antipasto salad is delicious, it contains black and green olives, red beans, bell peppers, chickpeas, cheese, pepperoni, ham and salami. The dressing seems to me to be “homemade” but it is delicious ? *Although after so many years of attending it seems to us that the portions of cold meats are smaller than they were years ago. Pizza is generally “cheesy” ? that is, it has a lot of cheese The combo option with Ravioli, spaghetti and lasagna is great The atmosphere has always been kept “dark” (poor lighting) with cute hanging bottle decorations with corks. The only “bad” thing is that they recently removed the carpet and now the chairs make a lot of noise when you move them and squeak a lot when you adjust your seat towards the front. We have always had parking available since it is spacious with several spaces and free. The aroma from outside is delicious ? ? Usually the waiters are friendly when serving There is usually staff who speaks Spanish Parking: They have their own parking lot with several spaces (enough space)

All I got to say that I and even my 7 and 9 years old grandkids felt very uncomfortable by our server from the time we sat down. Very, very rude lady. I hate it because we could have chosen any other restaurant to go for dinner while on our vacation to Chula Vista/ San Diego but we decided to go there because of the ratings. The pizza was above average and that's why I given a 3 Star but unfortunately my wife ordered the wing and it came back totally different from what she asked for and she waitress didn't try to make any accommodations as a matter of fact she treated us as if we were really bothering her.

Food was not that great, dominoes can make a better pizza than these guys. Service was awful and took over 40 minutes to just get a pizza and pasta.

Had the meat balls and spaghetti. Can't complain about anything. Everything was great. Large portions and very tasty.

The service and food never disappoints at this place. I like the mom and pop shop feel. The service is always respectful and kind. The pizzas are cheesy. The pasta dishes are flavorful and also super cheesy. So if you like cheese, then you 'll like their pasta and pizza dishes. Their prices are also straight forward. You don 't have to deal with the headache that other fancy restaurants try to swindle you with by forcing you to pay required tips, service fees, covid fees, and whatever else without warning.
