I'm so happy Eric took over—now they’re open until 9 PM. It’s truly delicious. Go try it yourself; you won’t regret it!

The staff were unfriendly and ind... read more I've heard about the legendary Christopher Maid-Rite since I moved to Southern Illinois 30 years ago. I finally visited today. The staff were unfriendly and indifferent. The only positive was that the pies are homemade and definitely worth a visit. Also, they only accept cash or check—which the rudest employee, who acted like the boss, loudly announced to everyone nearby.
