This charming and intimate restaurant offers a beautifully crafted dining experience. We chose the chef's tasting menu, which was a delightful selection of dishes paired with an excellent New Zealand wine. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall enjoyment. It’s a fantastic spot for a special occasion. View all feedback.
A very amazing night with my partner to celebrate our 7th anniversary here. I love the longest **** very, it is the similar taste with Chinese cuisine.
Some of the best food in christchurch! cassoulet is a hard court to make right, they even have cassoulet accredited restaurants in france, and this fish cassoulet was as good as this in france. Oh, my God! I could eat all day.
The best seafood in town and healthy. Had the 75 per person for bringing up a bit of everything. 11 dishes in total. The oysters are super fresh and tender. Steam fish was so tender and delicious sitting with the unique soup. Vegetables were enlightened by the flavourful sauces. Small batch wine from hawksbay were perfect for the dinner. Service might need a bit of improvement but understandable for a new staff member. Definitely will go back.
We ventured to The Gatherings Restaurant on a Saturday evening and really enjoyed the food. The menu is quite limited but each sharing plate was well thought out. We opted for the tasting option which worked well for us. The only downside was the limited wine-by-the-glass list. Booking highly recommended as it is a small restaurant. Free parking at the rear of the building.
Amazing food here at Gatherings. The Let us Feed you option was so plentiful and meant we could all indulge in so many different things. The fish, the celery, clams and asparagus were my favourites and the bread with the garlic was sensational. All the wines are natural which I enjoyed trying- not sure I am converted but it’s good to open your mind to doing something new. The only little disappointment was we were rushed at the end. If you are only really finishing your mains with 10 mins left for dessert, that doesn’t give you reasonable time. I think on a Friday/Saturday night a minimum two hours should be given especially with a “feed us” option as one of the offerings. The staff were apologetic about it though and it won’t stop me from going back but I would probably book a later table to avoid it from happening. We managed to get into Londo next door to have more drinks so the night finished off well.
