so happy to learn from this restaurant! eating is the best Indian food I had in New Zealand. I can't wait to go back. the nasty brote are light and fluffy in contrast to the snacks in many other Indian restaurants in chch. there is also a good selection of other broths. in terms of eating, my favs were the disc ktikka and butter huh. the restaurant feels very clean and has a lot of seating. well done to the owners: View all feedback.
What Stephania Fadel doesn't like about Bombay Butler:
Very very disappointed spent $45.50. The Chicken was uncooked in our starter Tikka ,and our Butter Chicken. Could not eat this at all . Rang them and they didn't wanna give a refund or remake this meal for us. Very disappointing DON'T GO HERE ,I gave them photo prof of the chicken being under cooked and proof of purchase. Still was told to take it Into them so they could see . What a joke we had put our food into t... View all feedback.
Wonderful service. Great food. Glad to have this local to walk down to.
Its not a big restaurant but they've made good use of the space. The lunch combo is well priced given that they give a good portion of roti to finish off the yummy sauce and there's a good selection of currys to choose from. I went for my favorite lamb Madras and I enjoyed it quite a bit.
My partner and I got the worst food poisoning from the indian food here! We ordered Chicken Korma and Rogan Josh and my god did we we get sick!!!!!!!! Worst stomach upsets both of us have ever had, hours and hours of never ending stomach pain. Bombay Butler has officially been axed from the takeaway options list for us. Absolutely awful food. On top of how sick this food made us both, the curry's are awfully sweet, with far too much sugar. The texture of the Korma was odd (it was more of a sweet neon yellow colored soup, than a curry. There was also a bone in the chiken). Mango Lassi drink was also far too sweet. Rogan Josh was just oily and bland. Naan bread is too floury and more like a pita bread than a naan. We both really don't recommend this place unless you want a day off work due to having food poisoning. Delhi Belly beware!!
