I ordered a delicious orange vegan cake and an almond milk flat white. However, I didn't enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant. I opted to get my order to go instead of dining in because of the vibe of the place. View all feedback.
What Gravenhale doesn't like about Beat Street Cafe:
I've been here twice. People have raved about it, but I don't realllly see what the fuss is about. The first time I got beans on toast from the sides menu and was charged heaps for the toast. Then it took ages to come out despite it being a quiet day. Tasted quite good but nothing spectacular. The second time I came here with my friend, we both got vegan pizza. The vegan melt was delicious. many vegan options, not a beautiful place, but eating is very delicious.
No 5 star dining but they do have options including a nice vegan pie, sometimes two. Plus sandwiches and vegan friendly milk, cakes etc.
I had lunch here with a vegan cappuccino and some nice tasty sandwich-structure. Thoroughly enjoyed it, very tasty. It does looks a bit unorganized and for some reason not so clean in side, so there's room for improvement.
Lovely little cafe with friendly staff and good music. We had the vegan melt and the vegan roll both were good, but particularly the melt! Excellent coffee too. They had lots of other vegan and veggie options, both in the fridge and on the menu.
We came here nearly every morning while in Christchurch. The coffee was good and the staff were very friendly. We didn’t really have anything to eat and it didn’t look like there was a massive amount of vegan options, although I did see a vegan burger in the cabinet. We did try a vegan chocolate and berry brownie, but it didn’t taste that good. Good as a regular coffee spot with plenty of outdoor space in the courtyard.
