This is not a Bengali restaurant, but rather a friendly British food establishment. I was not impressed with the bland food, which seemed to be altered to suit Western tastes. I am writing this review because we specifically sought out a Bengali restaurant, only to find that none of the dishes had a Bengali touch. The South Indian papad, the rice passed off as Biryani, the saag paneer, and the stuffed parantha were all lacking in authenticity and flavor. Despite the menu claiming to offer Indian cuisine, none of the dishes were executed well. It is clear that the restaurant is a hub for the local community, but I believe the management should reconsider their naming and work on improving the quality of their dishes. Overall, the service, atmosphere, and food all received a rating of 2 out of 5. The price per person for dinner ranges from £10 to £20.

I have passed by this Indian restaurant many times and never considered going in because it looked dark and was situated between a fish and chip shop and another restaurant with outdoor seating covered by awnings. However, when my husband and I were feeling hungry after having drinks at a local pub, we decided to check if it was open. Even though it appeared closed due to the darkness inside, a gentleman welcomed us in and seated us at a table. The waitstaff then provided exceptional service, being very attentive without being intrusive. We didn't have to wait long for anything as they were efficient and on top of everything. The restaurant quickly filled up, indicating that it was a hidden gem in Chislehurst for dining. The food was incredibly authentic and delicious - I wanted more but was too full to finish, so we took the leftovers home for a late-night snack. We will definitely be returning to this great restaurant, which may not be flashy or fancy in terms of decor, but is clean, tidy, and has friendly waiters, a relaxing ambiance, and amazing food. Well done Shaon, we'll see you again soon. Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40-50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
