The Green Man Courtyard

A very pleasant dinner with friends on a Saturday night, the restaurant wasn't packed but there was still a good level of background noise to create a bit of atmosphere we sat inside but there are tables outside for the hardier souls at this time of year. Attention from the waiter was excellent without him being overbearing and the food was perfect, albeit with a limited choice (they had run out of Chicken from lunchtime) though can't complain as really enjoyed the Steak. Will definitely be going again.

The Green Man is way off the beaten track, but worth a visit. The menu had recently been changed and the chef was missing some ingredients for my risotto, but he happily put together a risotto which was very nice. My dining partners choice was fish and chips which she described as being fresh and full of flavour. Will definitely be returning.

Excellent local food with a good menu and quirky service

The Green Man has the potential to be a truly superb restaurant, lovely setting and very nice decor in restaurant. Peter the head waiter is very attentive and clearly wants the restaurant to give good service and be successful. Unfortunately I'm not sure the owners have the same attitude arrived at 8.30 to find screaming kids in the bar area, hardly romantic 2nd visit and second time much of the menu not available, including as before the Beef Wellington food pretty good to be fair but for two of us, 2 courses and a couple of drinks £92 is not particularly cheap. disappointing as really could be a great place to go

The green man has the potential to be a truly excellent restaurant, beautiful environment and very beautiful decoration in the restaurant. peter der kopfwarte is very attentive and wants to be clear that the restaurant offers a good service and is successful.
