The Boxing Hare had a warm and welcoming atmosphere, thanks to the friendly local staff who were incredibly helpful. What User doesn't like about The Boxing Hare:
The food was excellent, but we probably won't return until we hear that the service has improved. Our table was reserved for 7:15, but we waited an hour before we could place our order, and then another hour before our food arrived. To be fair, a few people in our group were 15 minutes late, and we apologized since we know that can cause issues for the staff. However, we would have appreciated some acknowledgment or... Very pleasant meal of the twice cooked cheese soufflé was amazing as the fish soup - it is hard to impress my man and he said he would go again only for the suppe! I love the Chilean merlot very nice.
Exceptional food...everything we tried over the course of two dinners was memorable.
Finally a place to eat near Banbury that is fit for my parents who are used to fine dinning!

The service was exceptional and there were some interesting items on the menu that tempted us to order something new and different. The quality and presentation of the food was very good and pretty quick considering it was a busy Friday night. It was quite noisy at times due to a party of men on the next table but we would definitely recommend the Boxing Hare and will be going again for a special occasion.
