I enjoy hanging out at the Chippo. The decor is fresh and appealing. The drinks are tasty and staff are friendly. There are also a range of food options for all tastes. Looking forward to a few new menu items as I've tasted most things. A little pricey for pub food but all around a good place to pop into. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Chippo Hotel:
Like the other reviewer I found the 'Checcky Burgers' more like Salt Burgers, additionally I was only 1 of 5 other people scattered about the bar/ restaurant. I wait 45 minutes for an overly salty burger patty with a dab of melted cheese. I spoke the manager and she was not interested, seems that the other 4 paying patrons had already shared their frustrations and now she just did not care....Best to avoid, try Guila... Great vibe, back patio, pool table. Double cheeky cheeseburger is delicious. Favorite spot to hangout on the evenings with a couple of mates.
The 3 of us were there on Sunday 13/Nov/16.The venue looked quite clean and newish, had a little outdoor area with a bbq and they also had a pool table, TVs and gaming machines (pokies, pacman and shooting games).Service was average. We ordered Aperol Spritz and it tasted like soda water with a dash of orange flavour (they put way too much soda water!)...then we had a beer which was fine, and a bottle of Rosé (which we shouldn't have ordered at a pub) that was not very pleasant but who drinks Rosé in the first place:( Also, they didn't have the Rosé that was on the menu so just gave us a cheaper one without informing us...At around 9pm they said the kitchen was closing so we decided to order a few things and when my partner went up to the bar to order, the lady told him that only burgers were available, which left us with only 5 options. We were a bit disappointed but didn't complain as it was Sunday and the staff probably wanted to go home early. However the food was shockingly terrible:0 The boys ordered a cheese burger and fish burger, I only had a taste as I wasn't very hungry but the fish burger was disgustingly greasy, deep fried in old oil and was dark brown in colour. The chips were worse than McDonald's. The cheese burger was the saltiest burger we had ever eaten. We actually joked about it saying they should call it a salt burger instead. I felt sick instantly, my friend said he didn't feel very well either but my partner seemed fine. When we went home I was very sick and a couple of hours later my partner was sick as well...not sure about my friend. We would like to believe that this just happened to be our unlucky day but would probably not recommend this place to friends anytime soon nor would we be returning...The atmosphere was pleasant.
Good food, cheap prices, good beer. Fresh decor. Good spot for people watching. The steak deal for 9 dollars is perfect for lunch.
