Description

Cafe Giulia in Chippendale has a rich history, with patrons praising its Middle Eastern food, grungy vibe, and excellent coffee. However, recent reviews highlight some issues, such as unfriendly treatment towards customers with dogs and declining customer service. Despite some drawbacks, the menu offers a variety of tasty dishes, such as Black Eyed Bean soup and smashed avo with feta. The courtyard, perfect for dog owners, is a rare find in the inner city. While the food may not be exceptional, the low prices make it a good choice for a simple, cheap meal. With a cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent coffee, Cafe Giulia remains a popular spot for many despite some shortcomings.

Love this place. I don't know how they can conquer such a wide and fantastic variety. But even the simplest dish is a winner because every single ingredient is hand picked for its taste and quality! Some of my favourites are lentil soup, Greek Salad (add lamb - it's amazing!), and French Toast... Not to mention the burger and hand-cut chips...!

Breakfast at Cafe Giula is an insult to diners. The flat white is a scalding hot cup of milk with stingy traces of espresso whereas the French Toast with banana tastes and resembles a piece of soggy bread which a kid vomited. Horrible, terrible and tragic. Probably the worst of the worst breakfast in Sydney.

Really terrible breakfast! The eggs $10.90 were just that, 1/2 a tiny tomato, each side was $4. The sides were enormous but nothing had flavour, condiments or anything of note! 1/2 an advocado and 2 lumps of potato supposed to be hash browns! Just read timeout magazines top 10 breakfast places Chippo/Newtown don't even rate, we miss out big time!

I dunno. It's good tho. The steak sandwich. The chips. Service can be indifferent. But lovely spot. Sit by the window.
