Feedback
Holy Duck on Kensington St offers a unique dining experience centered around honoring the duck. While some found the crispy duck burger to be underwhelming, the lotus chips and duck pancake were highlights. The service was efficient, with an option for counter or table ordering. However, one disappointed reviewer cited small portions and lackluster service as detractions. On a more positive note, other diners praised the flavorful menu and generous portions. Overall, Holy Duck's crispy skinned duck was a standout dish, with many expressing a desire to return for more. With a mix of opinions on the overall experience, it seems Holy Duck is worth a visit for its creative duck-focused offerings.
There they were to try their deenburger, but the waiter told me they don't make any burgers at the weekend. So I tried her brat escape as they are a specialist. Created the duck pork plated, containing brat and bratpork. both meats were dry and bland roast. deenhaut was not crispy as I hoped. there was something sauce above that was excessive should serve separately.
We have been regular customers for several years, eating is great as the service. there is no better escape in sydney. the restaurant also has a beautiful ambiente. highly recommended.
The area around the old clare hotel is excellent when the sacred duck is an outstanding part of the experience. recommend one of the mixed plates of roasted meat with Chinese greens!
Flavourful menu and nice ambiance : Looooved their ducks! I have been reading google reviews about this restaurant and apparently I find a lot of negative reviews saying their duck is dry and very very salty. Their duck was just perfectly booked I'd say. Wasn't too salty even! It was really crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside! Loved it. Also we had the tofu which is really good as well, we had some other menus but wasn't able to take photos.. The only negative I can say was their sticky pork chops, they were really overcooked and dry on the inside, I couldn't even chew it properly.. yes flavour was there, but wasn't cooked well. <br/ <br/ Overall, wasn't a bad experience at all.. we'll come back for sure. :
Been here twice and enjoyed it both times. From the same group as Chef’s gallery. I find it’s a more refined version of Chinese bbq restaurant and offers classic Chinese dishes with a slight twist. The desserts have asian flavours but are definitely more western and a bit more experimental.
