Bibimbar - Chippendale
Bibimbar
Description
Nighthawk Diner has rebranded as Bibimbar, bringing a fresh take on Korean cuisine to Chippendale. The vibrant, modern atmosphere complements its soul food-inspired menu, which features standout dishes like the best bibimbap in the city and a flavorful kimchi jigae. However, some dishes, like the fried chicken, have drawn mixed reviews for sogginess and undercooked portions. The friendly staff and generous servings create an inviting experience, while unique cocktails and lively K-pop ambiance enhance the atmosphere. Despite a few inconsistencies, diners appreciate the value for money and the chance to savor authentic Korean flavors in a contemporary setting.

Had a “Bibimbap“ with fried chicken for lunch. It was my first experience with Korean cuisine and I enjoyed it. It looked nice and tasted good. Traditional sauce wasn't to my taste but it was served separately, hence, didn't affect the dish. Will definitely try other courses from them.
Good and quick service. Yummy food. Bibimbap with fried chicken was delicious. Highly recommend.
Delicious lunch spot. We came for a weekend lunch after craving Korean food and were not disappointed. The serving is big and the prices are very decent for bibimbap for meat, for pork stew). We will definitely be returning to try more things on the menu.My only minor disappointment was the cutlery fairly old and the chopsticks looked like they had been chewed on a lot.
Who would have thought a bar in a Korean restaurant? Yes, this place is definitely where it's at! The comfort food and cocktails are perfect for a Friday or Saturday night. It's the ideal atmosphere to kick back and relax with friends or family while enjoying some delicious comfort food. I especially love their bibimbap and ramen stew (budae jjigae)!
Many small businesses are struggling with the high percentage taken by delivery services. However, the food at this restaurant was hearty with fresh and tasty ingredients. The aromas were on point, especially the kimbap, which was the best I've ever had. The prices were also reasonable. I will definitely be ordering from here regularly during quarantine.
