What Anonym dislikes about Sir Charles Napier:
Absolutely exceptional food but service could be improved. All good until you actually sit down then you are left alone. No check backs, no additional drinks. Difficult to get someone attention. A real shame. View all feedback.

Sir Charles Napier is a very cozy, albeit somewhat upscale, gastropub located in a beautiful part of Oxfordshire. The food was enjoyable, though the portion sizes were quite small and definitely on the pricier side.

Part of the charm of the Napier is its stunning location. If you drive west from London on the M40 and travel for about an hour before reaching Oxford, you'll come to Chinnor. From there, you take a steep, winding road that leads to the Sir Charles Napier, and the immediate visual reward is truly captivating.

This is a special place. we came with friends to a common birthday party and had a great evening. Drinks and canapés in the garden was a good opportunity to begin. we all enjoyed our food. I had the black one that was perfect. the others had all fish and they really enjoyed it. in all, a very special tasty bite.

Lovely staff. Unbelievably good food. I've done a few Michelin stars and these guys certainly deserve theirs. Wines we picked ourselves but matched the food perfectly, desserts were lovely and the dessert wines went really well with the treacle tart (amazing) and chocolate panna cotta (also amazing).
