My girlfriend mentioned there was a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich in Chincoteague so I had to try it. I lived in Nashville for 13 years and Hattie B's, which I personally would choose over the original Prince's Hot Chicken, is always top of my list to eatwhen I travel back there. Having been let down so many times by people trying to duplicate Nashville's claim, I had high hopeswhen I heard the Better. owner had traveled there and came back with a seacret or two. Well this is as close as it comes outsideof Nashville! I meant to complete this review a year ago when I first tried it, but just now realized I had not completed myreview until my girlfriend, who was in Chincoteague, stopped by to bring me one home for dinner three whole states away toFenwick Island (Ha! It's a little over an hour away). A big thank you to the gentleman for the extra care you showed her intransporting the sandwich! While I'm sure there is other great food in Chincoteague, I can't imagine ever visiting there withoutpicking up this little reminiscent taste of Music City! You all nailed it!
Allergy/Sensitivity foodie here, and I 'm doing the I found a food truck at the beach that fried me a giant box of Brussels sprouts dance! Went at opening (not busy yet) and had a nice long discussion with the owners about ingredients and theyhappily showed me all their labels. I ended up needing fried veg (sprouts and a potato rocket) with nothing on it (I lug aroundmy own box of salt and condiments) but they were accommodating and I enjoyed an amazing and rare meal out. And the food wasdelicious. Note: they fry in PEANUT OIL. My husband had the schnitzel without cheese and loved it. Prices might be higher thanMcDonald 's, but for real, simple, non-junk food made-to-order, I think it 's worth every penny to support a rare gem like this. It really is BETTER.
