We were thrilled to find authentic Mexican food for a reasonable price. The steak and pork tacos were a favorite and the tostadas were delicious. They had a large vegetarian menu and the food was made to order. They do not have a restroom on site so be sure to wash your hands before you arrive. Seating is outdoors so beware of the seagulls! I’ve been enjoying Lilys since they were a truck on the street before their current location. They have always been a highlight of a trip to Chincoteague. But this year (9/1) they were definitely off. The asada was tough and didn’t seem to have been marinated much, the overall taste was less awesome and even the hot sauce was watery and didn’t have it. Came by here after a day at the beach and got me some tacos! Was not disappointed.I couldn't convince my family to get tacos (they grabbed food from Island Dawg next door, but both areas allow you to bring food from one and each at the other's tables, just make sure you clean up and return trays to the right place), so I had to be strategic. I got three different types so I could get a feel for all the flavors.The folks in the stand speak both English and Spanish, and they took my order in Spanish. They got the food out to me pretty quickly.I got the Barbacoa, the Carnitas, and the Cajun Shrimp. I really can't pick a favorite; they were all so good. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, plump and tender. The barbacoa and carnitas were solid and I don't think they could be any better.There are some vegetarian options, so there's something for everyone!Next time I'm back, I look forward to trying more of the menu!
We took out dinner from there in the 2nd week of November in 2023. The food was plentiful, cheap, and tasty. Also, they had a good vegetarian option that was important for our party. We would happily go back there to eat.

The food is so good here. It's very fresh and the tortillas taste homemade. It's really fun to sit outside !
This was a fantastic stop for a quick and delicious lunch. The Asada taco melts in your mouth. The meat was tender and tasty. The pico and extra cilantro were fresh. We also had the Tostada, Cajun Shrimp Tacos, and Tinga Tacos. If you're looking for a delicious, affordable meal this is your place!
