Feedback
The restaurant had mixed reviews, with some customers complaining about seating, long wait times, and disappointing food. However, others were impressed by the warm atmosphere, great service, and delicious meals. The pub had a nice setting for watching a cricket match and hosting events like a funeral reception. The festive menu received high praise with standout choices such as poached pear and goats cheese starter and a delightful sticky toffee pudding. Despite some issues, the restaurant garnered positive feedback for its friendly staff, welcoming environment, and overall good experience.
Myself my Boss went there for Lunch, we both ordered the Ploughmans well if you can call it that then we also had the Katsui Bites Pork belly bits really not good, was not asked once if the food was ok by the waitress. Will definatly not be returning
We were put in the back room by the toilets and the whole room smelt (could only assume it was the toilets, unless it was a damp issue). We had to pre order food as we were a large group. Ordered on Thursday, wanted the pork which they didn 't have surely they could have got some in? As it happens, I 'm kind of glad they didn 't. People that ordered pizzas had to watch everyone else eat first, as the pizza oven had not warmed up. Again, they knew since Thursday that we were coming! I had the prawn linguine. It looked like it had been sat on the side for a while as the pasta was all stuck together and dry. Pizzas eventually came and were very disappointing. My vegan friend had The Alotment no vegan cheese on it surprisingly so he got presented with a what he described as cracker with veg on top . Toilets were disgusting. Ao dirty. No lock on the doors, and no bin so struggled to change my son when he needed a nappy change. Very very disappointing overall.
We went for a family meal on Saturday lunch. The wait staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was very good, happy to eat it again (except the ‘rare’ steak which was almost well done). But we arrived at 1, starters came 35 mins in and it was 1 he and 15 before we got our lunch. Incredibly slow also with desserts. We left 3:45! The place wasn’t full; they just done have enough staff I think.
Lunch after a walk. Speedy service in the pub on a Monday and nice food. Look forward to visiting again with the dog.
