Went as a party of four for a evening meal. Pub has had a refurbishment relatively recently which has created a light airy atmosphere within. Very busy when we arrived but we were met by a very pleasant female member of the serving staff who was friendly and professional throughout. Menu good and varied. What 30sus doesn't like about The Plough:
This was the worst Sunday roast I have ever experienced. The beef did not resemble beef at all, as it was a light brown color. The Yorkshire pudding tasted like paper, and the roast potatoes were so tough that they required a chisel to cut. The parsnips were burnt and lacked flavor. The quaint pub has a stylish modern decor that still manages to maintain a cozy atmosphere. The staff is friendly, the food is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely come back.

Just had takeout fish and chips from The Plough. The food was ready on time, hot, and delicious. This is a fantastic pub with great food. 5 stars!
Lovely pub, idyllic setting by the common. Decor indoors is cool and cosy while the outdoor seating is great when it’s sunny. Excellent Sunday roast and loaded nachos. Staff were very attentive and on the ball.
My group of Company Friends had a excellent Sunday lunch at The Plough. Lovely friendly staff beautifully decorated.
