As a vegetarian I was very pleasantly surprised at the range of dishes on offer really good for a pub very friendly and cosy style of pub full of friendly locals. Food very tasty Apple crumble a bit powdery and apples a bit hard but custard was delicious

A place to relax and feel comfortableThe choice of fish specials is amazing. On the first visit I had a whole sea bass, for the second visit I chose a whole sea bream from specials including whole trout and whole mackerel. An unpretentious gastropub with sensible prices sea bream was 12 pounds. Cooking was to a very good basic standard giving an enjoyable plate of food.

Big shout out particularly fo... read more I organised a surprise 60th birthday party for my husband in the function room here. The staff were superb, I couldn't fault them. Big shout out particularly for Wendy who made sure everything was in place and Charlie who, on the night, made sure everything went smoothly. The food was good value for money and was served fresh and where applicable, hot! They also catered for vegetarian and gluten free (although gluten free was only sandwiches they were all freshly made). They were also very accommodating for us to bring our own cake and a selection of sweet jars and loads of decorations. Big bonus as well the drinks are not too expensive! Thank you so much for making this occasion really special. Highly recommended.
