Everyone was friendly... read more We spent 2 nights here last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. The campsite is small, very small, and accordingly there are pros and cons. Everyone was friendly, polite and respectful of others. The staff were friendly and efficient. There is direct access to the lake, I'd recommend beach shoes though as it's stony under the water line. They only required a 2 night minimum, which is great for weekends with kids. The restaurant cafe is very smart and well worth a visit for campers or day trippers. The proximity to our camper meant we could have gone there for a drink at night and used a baby monitor, I wish! haha. Anyway, we'll definitely be back. Those people complaining about the road in, and space etc probably need to go to a larger campsite. This place is peaceful, a real hidden gem.
