Feedback
I've been going to La Comida since I was a kid (which feels like forever!). I loved it back then, and I still love it now. I've introduced a lot of friends and family to La Comida, and they've all become just as hooked on their food and chips and salsa as I am. Even though we moved away for several years, every time we visited, we made sure to grab a bucket of chips and a gallon of salsa to take home, and we often had dinner there too. I absolutely adore this place!!!
La Comida is truly a gem in Chico—almost like a historical landmark! After so many years, I feel like I should recognize most of the gray-haired patrons here, though it’s been too long to pinpoint any high school classmates. This restaurant offers Americanized Mexican food at reasonable prices. It can be hard to find authentic flavors these days, and while I know true authenticity isn’t usually found in Chico, that doesn’t mean La Comida is a bad option. I’ve sampled various items from the menu but always find myself returning to the taco salad or the tostada topped with meat and beans. The all-you-can-eat style is unbeatable, especially with the addition of their complimentary chips and salsa. Speaking of which, their amazing chips and salsa have remained unchanged for 50 years, making La Comida a standout for affordable Mexican dining. And while there are no mariachi bands, the experience is still delightful!
