Th... read more This is by far my favorite bar in Northern California, specifically in Chico. The bartenders are wonderful, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is great. The only suggestion I have is to get some new dart boards, but that's just a minor detail.

It was just an 8-minute walk from my hotel and one of the few places still serv... read more This is a typical old Chico bar featuring pool tables, seating areas, and a bar. It was just an 8-minute walk from my hotel and one of the few places still serving food at 11 PM on a Friday night. When I asked if I could sit at an open table, I learned they charged $8 per hour to rent one, so I opted for the bar instead, which was free. I ordered a double bourbon and their flautas. To my surprise, the flautas were drizzled with Caesar dressing. I managed to eat two out of the three but couldn’t finish them. The male bartender had a rather indifferent attitude, while the tattooed female bartender was friendly. Unfortunately, those flautas were pretty disappointing—some of the worst I’ve ever had.
