This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Chico. It is easy to choose your favorite dishes, always served fresh and delicious. They do a big take out business but the atmosphere of Chan Pheng's is so pleasant we enjoy dining in. Crisp white tablecloths, simple decor, and friendly staff! Prices are also great! What Houston Dibbert doesn't like about Chan Pheng's Mandarin Cuisine:
Slightly better than Panda (I think Panda is terrible)... They put garlic in the chow mein (if you think this is ok then you might like this place, otherwise, no need to give it a try) ... Everything was ok but nothing was closed to authentic Chinese food. All the dishes barely had flavor and all the sauces dishes were very watered down. View all feedback.
I loved it here. Classic Asian restaurant atmosphere, but the server was weird but amazing. Perfect customer service I have seen in a long time. As for the food... It his the spot. I have trouble finding a place we're my significant other and I both enjoy the food, and this place didn't disappoint either of us. Their special dinner plates served family style was perfect. I honestly don't have a single complaint about my visit.
First time getting food from here. Called ahead as I expected it to take a while due to my large family dinners order and it being Christmas Eve. Got home and after a while I found one entree (sweet and sour pork) was missing. I didn 't bother with calling to report it as I didn 't have time to go back to get the missing entree and I paid cash so a refund was not an option. Most of the food was good, however the chicken Chow Mein was not great. It was a bit bland and I have certainly had better. Overall, this seems to be an okay restaurant. I would give them another chance, but not planning to do that any time soon. I really wish we had more options for Chinese food locally.
Delicious fresh food. Fun courteous helpful servers. Affordable and leftovers enough for a filling breakfast.
Great food and servings. Service was great Too Very friendly. Large portions! Yum
