Loved our dinner at Wishbone! Everyone who works there is so incredibly nice and professional. We felt very well taken care of. Everyday they have $5 cocktail specials are you kidding me?? $5?!?! Even their regular prices are such great values. We had a delicious dinner the shrimp and grits and a bunch of sides. Oh, and their cornbread! Someone should write poetry about their cornbread : . Go to Wishbone you'll feel cared for as you drink your delicious drink(s and eat your delicious food. A Chicago must!
The food at this restaurant is always amazing, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We used to love Wishbone at their previous location on Morgan, but their new spot on Jefferson is conveniently located with street parking available in the evenings. The menu includes all of our favorite dishes, prepared perfectly and at a reasonable price. It's a comfortable and enjoyable place to eat.
I wanted breakfast food for my daughter when she was home from college, but we arrived after breakfast hours. However, the staff at the restaurant were wonderful and still managed to make pancakes, eggs, and bacon for her. I am so grateful for their flexibility and attention to detail. Thank you, Arthur, for going above and beyond to make our meal special.
The food is still excellent, just like it was at the old location, for those who are wondering. The restaurant wasn't too busy on a Saturday night, but sometimes it took a few tries to get the waitress's attention for service. My only issue is that the booth seats, while comfortable, are a bit low for the table. Overall, it's a fantastic spot for comfort food and I will definitely return.
