Description

Nestled in a serene corner, this restaurant boasts an inviting ambiance perfect for special occasions or cozy afternoons. While the atmosphere is consistently praised, experiences with service and menu offerings can be hit or miss. Some guests have noted overpriced drinks and mediocre snacks, while others appreciate the attentiveness of the staff. Despite some inconsistency, the venue's charm and atmosphere stand out, providing a lovely backdrop for gatherings. Ideal for those seeking an upscale feel before a show or a quiet escape, the restaurant balances its flaws with unique appeal, making it worth a visit—especially for cocktail enthusiasts.

Friendly staff, warm environment, strong drinks, amazing ambiance. Lilly server was great to us. Situated in a historical building, real beauty. Great for cocktails after work or to visit the loop. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $40–50

Vol. 39 is a classy spot tucked inside the Kimpton Gray—think law books, leather chairs, and a vibe straight outta Mad Men. I had the Vol. 39 Old Fashioned and a Manhattan, both smooth and well-crafted. The bar cart service is a cool touch, and the small plates like bone marrow and caviar are solid, though a bit pricey. Dropped about $80 total. Great for a swanky night out, but not an everyday hang. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $50–100

Quiet. Good service. Good drinks. Beer list was small but local and delicious!

Came here with my BF for a girls night out and this was the perfect place to go for good wine, good finger foods, and girl talk. We decided to order 2 bottles of wine and share and I was very happy with the quality of service. This place is for one of those “classy” nights out vs the typical take shots and go clubbing nights. The DJ here was also amazing. I should look him up because he played a perfect mix of old school, r&b jams, etc.
