Description

Vivere, located near the theater district in Chicago, offers elevated Italian cuisine with a Fixe Prix menu option that includes salad choices, entrees, and dessert. The restaurant has an old-timey vibe and caters to an early dining crowd, with the volume decreasing after 7:30pm. Despite traditional food that may not be particularly interesting, diners can expect solid service. I took my partner out for a romantic date and found this restaurant on Google. Even though I struggled with pronouncing some items on the menu, I thought it must be high-end. The portions were not large, but the food was extremely tasty. Our waiter was attentive in keeping our water glasses full, and the waitress was very informed about the menu. If you are looking for a top-quality dining experience, Vivere is the spot to visit. Just be ready for the high prices! And don't forget to leave a generous tip.

This restaurant has styling like I have never seen before and it was very nice. All of the food was really good. The Gnocchi appetizer was incredible. When your waiter says that a dish is a bit spicy, take note: the tagliorini was a bit too spicy for us to fully enjoy. Great deserts.

Everything was very nice, but the portions were small. The menu decriptions gave the impression there would be side dishes but there really weren’t. We were disappointed with that. We ended up ordering dessert and asking for more bread after the meal

Vivere was bustling and high volume. It had an old timey vibe, which was not what I expected from the photos online. I had hoped for a more updated restaurant. The food was traditional and not particularly interesting. We still had a pleasant evening. It caters to the early eating crowd.... our reservation was for 6:30 which is early for us and the volume went down after 7:30! We were the last diners to leave .... talking a lot.
