Vinci
Description
Vinci restaurant offers a diverse dining experience, with a mix of positive and negative reviews. For starters, one customer was impressed with the exceptional pizza, seafood risotto, and tuna tartare. The restaurant's house wines were also noted to be reasonably priced and very drinkable. In contrast, another individual found the dishes lacking in flavor and indicated they would not be returning. On a more positive note, a guest praised Vinci for serving the best Chinese food they've ever had, highlighting dishes such as shrimp toast, shrimp lo mein, and spicy shrimp with peanuts. The fragrant tea and attentive service were additional highlights. However, some customers mentioned that the food at Vinci did not meet their expectations, with specific complaints about dishes like the greasy linguini and chewy veal. Despite this, others have enjoyed the grilled meats, fowl, and fish at the restaurant, as well as the daily specials. Overall, Vinci seems to have a mixed reputation, with some diners raving about the high-quality food and service, and others feeling underwhelmed.

Went there for brunch, sat outside with our dog. The bottomless mimosas are a great deal! The food was ok, but what really makes this place great is the service. I was taking my last sip of my drink when the waiter was putting another one down. Make sure to get the bread, they make their brioche in house every day and it’s soft and delicious.
Excellent Saturday brunch served outdoors in a comfortable shaded sidewalk sitting area on the willow street. the Italian scramble was excellent as the breakfast bruschetta. the personal was friendly and attentive. I can't expect to return to vinci restaurant!
The service was friendly and respectable, but the food was completely on another level! especially the sauces were absolutely delicious and I wanted to scratch the left sosse with a spoon, even after I had finished my meal!
If you want an experience, Vinci is the place. At first glance, it’s a vintage, family-run looking establishment. But as soon as you interact with staff, it’s a warm, professional environment where it feels the best chefs have curated a menu of food just for you. There’s many options, an extensive wine list, and delicious specials (I loved the Spaghetti Carbonera). They celebrate special events with you, and are truly highly trained service staff. 10/10 will go back!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Had a fantastic dinner at Vinci Restaurant near Steppenwolf Theatre. Started with the arancini, which were crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. For the main course, I had the veal piccata, tender and full of flavor. The ambiance is rustic and cozy, perfect for a date night. Service was attentive and friendly. A bit on the pricier side, but worth every penny for the quality and experience.
