They grind their own beef and occasionally offer a bone for you to take home for your dog. They also cut their own fries. The burgers here are incredibly delicious—words can't do them justice! I'm disappointed they closed their second location near 95th and Cicero. The only downside to this spot is the challenge of finding street parking, plus you'll need to pay at the meter. What Jas doesn't like about Top-notch Beefburgers Inc.:
Good food but they take your money through third party app orders when they don’t even accept orders through third party apps. It’s super inconvenient and they will look at you like they don’t know what to tell you which would easily upset anyone. Only order by walking in or calling. View all feedback.
Now you see it, then you don 't. I became acquainted with Top-Notch Beefburgers when they made an appearance on the Chicago 's Best television show. But that segment was all about Top-Notch 's restaurant in Oak Lawn. So what happened? Not long afterward, the Top-Notch in Oak Lawn closed because of dwindling sales. But the Top-Notch at 2116 West 95th Street in the Beverly neighborhood, between South Hoyne and South Hamilton, continues to produce a plethora of fresh and juicy and tasty sandwiches, including the quarter-pound beefburger with cheese, the quarter-pound turkey burger, the grilled chicken, the deluxe Mexican burger, the Italian sandwich with mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce and green pepper, the barbecue beef sandwich, the beef au jus, corned beef melt, grilled catfish, Reuben melt, grilled pork chops and home-made tuna sandwich. Wash it all down with a 24-ounce chocolate milk shake. Since the burgers attract most of the attention, the breakfast often is overlooked. That is a mistake. An egg with corned beef hash or a sausage links and egg sandwich or strawberry topped pancakes or two buttermilk pancakes with a large scrambled egg and sausage links is a great way to start a busy day. Nowadays, I prefer turkey to red meat. And Top-Notch 's turkey burger hits the spot with the house 's own seasoning, a slab of Mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickle and a raw onion. Very moist and very healthy. Let 's hope the Beverly restaurant stays in business for as long as they can make turkey burgers.
Can't go wrong with a burger and shake! I've had better burgers, but these won't disappoint. I recommend.
Had the 3/4 with sharp American and grilled onions. This is the best no frills burger in the business. It's not your hipster burger or new fangled burger topped with the pantry and fridge. This an old school lunch counter burger that is unbelievably delicious! The meat is freshly ground, the bun perfectly soft and warm, cheese melted and salty and the onions buttery soft. This is a must go to if you're in Chicago or visiting the south side. Trust me it's worth the trip and inexpensive. Get some fries too, you'll thank me later for that .
This is another Burger place from CB (Chicago 's Best) top ten burger joint in Chicago land.(we are trying all 10) The place looks like an old fashion burger place. We found paid parking on the street. We walked in and a sign says seat yourself so we did. We (not kidding you) waited 25 minutes before we got up and grabbed a waitress to take our order. She seemed upset because she was taking our order. the burgers came out fast and they tasted ok. nothing special just like a regular burger. The fries were good. I had the Mexican Burger my Husband had the king burger and the kids had the regular cheeseburger. I wouldn 't go out of your way to eat here. I would of left waiting that long for someone to take my order. The only reason I stayed was because I want to try all the joints on the top 10. The bill (which you pay on your way out, waitress doesn 't take it) was 58.00 for a family of four.
Not much to say about this place aside from being the best burger I've had in Chicago! Parking is a bit of a problem, but the burger itself is worth the hassle!!!! Seasoned all the way through, cheese melted definitely a must visit!
