Best place for breakfast/lunch in Rogers Park! Possibly the entire city of Chicago!! The tamales are the best I’ve ever had!! The owner l, Tony is spectacular and everything that is TJam is done with passion and love, No doubt!! Glad I found this diamond on Howard!!
This spot is a total gem. The food was wonderful breakfast tacos with homemade chorizo and breakfast potatoes. The layers of flavor were marvelous. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, as is Tony the chef. It's clear that they care passionately about food and people. My wife and I want to come back and try everything on the menu.
We went to Tjam for a late brunch. The owner was very kind and welcoming. He brought us each a starter of their chicken soup as a starter on the house. The soup was delicious . We shared an elote appetizer and tamales which we so delish. The tamales were probably the freshest and most flavorful tamales that I 've ever had. Next up turkey burgers and their vegetarian burger with homemade chips. The chips should be sold to go b/c my friends loved them. The burgers should be called 'side of your mouth burgers ' cause they were so tasty and extra juicy. Lastly it 's a very affordable menu. We will be back.
This place is marvelous! Cucumber-infused water, beautiful strong coffee. I told the owner that I’m a vegan, and he said, “How does this sound?” as he formulated a dish off the cuff. It was a wonderful brunch!!
Great addition to the neighborhood. We stopped by for brunch--lovely space, amazing service, tasty coffee and the food is delicious (and a great value for the price). I'm especially in love with the house-made hot sauce, which is a secret blend of four chilis, oil, garlic and other stuff.
