Want to time warp back to 1970 then come to The Fish Keg. For over 50 years, the Hansen family has owned and operated this visually arresting fish valhalla. It is the real deal with locals ordering a pound of fried shrimp, or fish, or anything else that can be deep fried. Want fries, cole slaw, macaroni salad or lemon bars with that? Get some. It also has some limited canned goods and you can get Royal Crown Cola her... View all feedback.
What Joey B doesn't like about The Fish Keg:
I just spent $65 on 1lb of catfish nuggets, 1lb of shrimp and 1/2 lb of hush puppies and it's the most horrible texture and taste I've ever experienced with seafood. I should've followed my first mind and visited Pappadeauxs. This food was very poor quality in my opinion. View all feedback.
I was fortunate enough to walk in on a Friday morning and had the place to myself. The counter attendant was helpful but had an emotionless "Walleyed
Long ago, perhaps 25 years or more I had some one being food over from fish keg. It was alright. Well tonight 11.17.17 I had a taste for some fish and chips
The Fish Keg has a creamy coleslaw and macaroni salad that I straight up crave! That being said, I came in last week for some of both as well as the clam
Classic place serving seafood. eating is a bit expensive, but it is very tasty. I had garnel and scallops, and the scallops were mostly delicious, fried to perfection. my father often went here when he was a child, and when I'm in the opposite, I always stop one.
That's a bit out. Seafood options, simple or baked, sold by the pfund and can be fried before location. side products and dips are available for additional prices. not sure what are all options. the prices are a bit high for the quality and portion sizes of food. wels nuggets fell flat after taste. they also fried up to small crispy baked fish and pieces. the hush puppies were over fried and fried in the same fish fat, so they taste like old fried crispy fish balls instead of hush puppies. have eaten a few pieces of each and the rest shattered. dissatisfied and disappointed that this is the only fried fish spot I know in the north. I won't be back. my experience was lacking, so there is not much to recommend for me. honestly, I'm sceptical for the last 5 star reviews. I can assure them that there is nothing absolutely 5 stars about the fish keg, periodt. all or most used products can be bought in their local food. *dips that should be free for the paying customer are available for fee.
