Was Matthew B at Duck Inn a mag?
Since I have lived in Chicago this place has always been one of my favorites. The vibes are immaculate; refined, but also very casual. It is a great place to bring your in laws for duck, but equally good to shoot bourbon and sip a high life at. The staff is really great, and you can tell that they know a lot about the food there. The service is pretty quick, and the prices aren't bad. There are some menu staples like... View all feedback.
What A F dislikes about Duck Inn:
We've been coming for years, today, for the 1st time, for brunch. As always, the music is too loud and the selections disconnected; not at all complimenting or adding to the dining experience. BUT, as usual the service and food is good enough to tolerate. What wasn't good was seeing a charge on our bill for health insurance?! To not be told beforehand this will be added or not see noted on the bill that this charge i... View all feedback.

We love the entire vibe at Duck Inn. Staff, music, ambiance are all very cool. And the food is always great.
Delicious brunch! Top tier service, lovely little homespun charm in Bridgeport with a fun funky retro vibe.
Brilliant! bryce was such a wonderful help, chefs are outstanding
I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday and the whole meal was outstanding! Our waitress was really kind and the dishes were perfectly spaced apart. The duck wings were definitely a highlight. This restaurant was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday as they brought out champagne when we sat down and provided ice cream on the house at the end of our meal. Thank you for a wonderful night!
The duck special for Lunar New Year was amazing, best yet. And the egg rolls as well. Make your plans for Lunar New Year next year, fellow Foodies!

The food is outstanding, with dishes like rotisserie duck, duck wings, and unique cocktails that keep patrons coming back for more. The cozy atmosphere and attentive service make Duck Inn an ideal spot for a date night or celebration. With a reputation for excellent food and service, Duck Inn is a must-visit for both locals and visitors to Chicago.

Hidden away location but worth the effort to find it. The Duck Inn specializes in serving whole rotisserie ducks. Our was juicy and tender and sides were great. Restaurant was busy and rather noisy, but not a problem. Staff were super friendly and efficient.
Amazing! My group booked the duck experience with wine pairings. Staff was so enthusiastic to share about the food, the duck press, wine and cocktail choices. Food was fantastic and each course unique. The owner/chef cooked our sauce with the duck press tableside while educating. Tableside dessert with cocktail was a great finale.Food: 5/5

And, for this reason, we had it taken off and probably won't be back for awhile.

This place is definitely a south side institution.
Jump inside the duck dawg. Can't pass up the $5 shot of wild turkey. Sing me a song, you're the singer.

The Duck Inn was amazing. The food was delightful and the service was exceptional. I ordered the peaches and cream French toast and I was not disappointed. The sticky buns are also to die for.
My fiancé and I love going to this restaurant. We come here when celebrating an anniversary or have a random date night and get fantastic service. On this particular day, Bernard served us. He got to us after 15 minutes to get our drink order but wasvery unfriendly and bland. His personality with the tables around us was very kind and friendly. We got our drinks and finishedthem and waited a very long time before he came to get our app order and we ordered a second round of drinks. We tried to orderour main course but he said he would be back. We got our drinks and app and finished them and again waited a long time for himto come back. We ordered our food and not once did he check in on us. At this point seeing how extra friendly he was witheveryone and not us we got uncomfortable and just decided to pay and get dessert at the bar. The bartenders and bar back weregreat and treated us well. We still tipped Bernard 20% cause we?re in the industry but his service towards us was horrible.
The duck is totally delicious.Prepared to perfection. Gratifying in every sense. A must order at this gastro destination. If you like Italian beef a must order are the sliders.Yes that’s right Italian beef sliders appetizers.Absolute genius and second tonone. The romantic retro bar decor is warm, cozy and comfortable completely without pretentious. Impeccable service.Professionalwith just the perfect amount of friendliness. Pricing expensive but reflective of the superior good quality. Parking on streetnon metered and easy. AWARDED 3 YUMS ON A SCALE OF 3

My volunteer partner at Open House Chicago 2022 raved about Duck Inn, and I can see why. If you're in search of a fantastic dining spot, this is it. I made a reservation for 2:30 PM, but be prepared for some parking challenges around Duck Inn due to a film crew from Chicago Fire setting up nearby. The restaurant itself is beautiful with plenty of natural light. I opted for the Bloody Mary, while my guest tried The Batanga, which intriguingly came with a knife—be sure to ask your server about the story behind that drink! To start, we shared the Duck Wings with Japanese BBQ sauce, Duck Bacon, and a Buttermilk Biscuit. Don’t be deceived by the crunchy texture of the biscuit; it’s wonderfully soft on the inside. All the dishes are designed for sharing. I really enjoyed the Duck Fat Dog (Chicago-style), and my friend chose the Up 'N ' Over Burger. The food was delightful—the duck dog gave me nostalgic vibes of deep-fried Polish sausage. Even though I'm not usually a fan of runny eggs, that burger was outstanding. We also couldn't resist ordering a side of fries. On our way out, we stopped at the bar for some $5 tequila shots. I’m definitely coming back to try the dinner menu and the Rotisserie Duck. If you have vinyl records, bring a couple along and enjoy your music while dining—they encourage it! I also can't wait to see the Christmas decorations since the Halloween setup already made the place feel cozy. There’s a charming outdoor patio as well that I plan to check out in the summer. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience, be sure to make a reservation at Duck Inn!
