I recently visited The Delta for the Sunday Soul Brunch and had a phenomenal experience. The food, drinks and service (great job Jordan) were excellent! The only small thing I would change is the volume of the music from the DJ and add some blues music. What ok dislikes about The Delta:
Tamale Tuesday happy hour 5-7 have a nice bartender that makes delicious drinks. Cool vibe music. Neighborhood friendly Meetup spot.I ordered the beef tamales(comes in three). It was good however the second order hardly had any meat. Consistency is key.Vegan(mushrooms) was barely filled, and j chicken tamales was ok, not spicy enough(for me). The service at this restaurant was excellent, but unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The deviled eggs we ordered never arrived and had to be removed from the bill. The beans and rice were dry and lacked flavor, and the oxtail was small, tough, and dry. The highlight of the meal was the chicken and waffle dish. We were taken aback by the automatic 18% gratuity added to our bill for a party of two. It would have been better if this policy had been communicated to us before we received our bill.
The food was excellent, but the section of the restaurant where we dined was very warm.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere at this restaurant. The food was delicious. The back section was a bit noisy, but overall, it was good.
Delicious brunch- seasoned food and services were great! Definitely coming back.
