This iconic room does not have the excitement it used to when it was the Pump Room (the most recent incarnation), but it is still a very calming, comfortable space. What User doesn't like about The Ambassador Room:
we reserved a table for brunch in restaurant, but we were moved to the lobby of the hotel. that may have been good, but eating was best moderate. we had some croissants that were obviously frozen and then microshafted. the abl. was made from concentrate and the coffee was very thin. Honestly, the breakfast at one would have been both cheaper and better. View all feedback.
Service was horrible yesterday. Entrees were very late. The green bean casserole was more like mushroom soup with bits of green beans.
The waiter lost his her glamour we miss ‘the legendary public’ Would not combine the restaurant with the cocktail bar
This newest iteration of an iconic restaurant inside the venerable Ambassador Hotel is off to a good start. We needed an early dinner before the opera so when we arrived the bar was far busier than the restaurant, but the service was friendly and attentive, the food arrived promptly and was delicious and perfectly cooked. As a bonus, although the bar was full, the noise level was very tolerable. We’ll definitely be adding it to our list of local favorites.
This restaurant isn’t open for brunch, despite making a reservation AND speaking to someone on the phone.
