Instead, they had set up tables next to a curtain in the space between the bar and what is typically the dining area. There was only one other couple there, making the atmosphere extremely dead and quiet. It was quite dull! We decided to stay for a glass of wine while we looked for another place to dine. Unfortunately, the bartender was not attentive and seemed more focused on their phone. I cannot recommend this place.

They did offer a discount on the food to acknowledge the poor service, but it didn't truly compensate for our experience. The food was good and served hot, though the menu was limited, which we were aware of before arriving.

Additionally, I must emphasize that this restaurant is not suitable for individuals with limited mobility. Being located in an old building, they've made some improvements, but my husband, who uses a walker, had to navigate two different elevators just to reach the restroom, one of which required assistance from the staff. I understand that senior staff deserved the day off, but if that's the case, the restaurant shouldn't have advertised a Thanksgiving Feast. Thanksgiving is all about the food experience, and we were left quite disappointed.

We needed an early dinner before the opera so when w... read more This newest iteration of an iconic restaurant inside the venerable Ambassador Hotel is off to a good start. We needed an early dinner before the opera so when we arrived the bar was far busier than the restaurant, but the service was friendly and attentive, the food arrived promptly and was delicious and perfectly cooked. As a bonus, although the bar was full, the noise level was very tolerable. We'll definitely be adding it to our list of local favorites.
