What J L doesn't like about Tbaar Bubble Tea, Juice, Smoothies:
Worst bubble tea we've had. If you want watered down syrup mixed with Fanta that's what my Mango Orange smoothie tasted like. The tapioca was mushy. My husband had original tea with less ice and it was like water with a hint of tea. It was so bad he threw it away, which has never happened before. The staff was friendly and the decor was lovely. The ice cream tasted great, but the portions are quite large, so I recommend sharing with someone. I expected to get two Oreos in my ice cream as shown in the picture, but it only had one Oreo cut in half. The lemonade and donuts were excellent, and you can customize your drink!
I ordered the Thai iced tea, brown sugar bubble tea, and Cookie Monster ice cream rolls. The tea was a bit weak in flavor, rating it a 7 out of 10, but they did provide a generous amount of boba. Considering it's a bubble tea shop, I expected it to taste better. However, the ice cream was delicious, and the seating area was quite pleasant. Additionally, it's one of the more affordable bubble tea options in Chinatown.
We were pleasantly surprised! After indulging in a hearty meal, we craved something refreshing and sweet, so we decided to check out TBAAR. We absolutely loved this dessert and drink spot in Chinatown. The decor inside was fantastic—very trendy! We enjoyed our choices and got to watch as they made our rolled ice cream. Everything was delicious!
The drinks aren't overly sweet, but I would prefer them a touch sweeter. It's not quite on par with Kung Fu Tea or other similar chains. This place is more suited for grab-and-go orders, as there's little interaction with the staff. However, the shop itself is quite charming. Overall, I would rate the service a 3 out of 5.
I absolutely adore this place! As a food and drink enthusiast, I can confidently say this was the best boba I've ever had. The boba was incredibly flavorful and prepared at lightning speed. The ambiance of the restaurant is also a visual delight, with beautifully done decor. Overall, I rate my experience a perfect 10/10. Food: 5/5.
