Swift & Sons - Chicago
Swift & Sons
Description
The restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with impeccable service, delicious food, and a cozy ambiance. While some felt that certain appetizers were only okay, the main courses such as the bass and dry aged ribeye were excellent. The servers, although friendly and knowledgeable, seemed a bit rushed due to limited staff. Despite some minor issues like overpriced drinks and burnt crust on the beef Wellington, overall the experience was fantastic. The menu offers a wide variety of options, and the chocolate torte was a perfect end to a fantastic meal. Overall, this restaurant is highly recommended for anyone looking for a classic steakhouse experience in Chicago.

My fiance made reservations prior to our engagement, and what an amazing celebratory dinner! The hostess, the server, the old fashion cart server, everyone was exceptional! We ordered the 32oz wagyu tomahawk ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. It literally melted in our mouths. The steak came with 3 sauces, the horseradish was my favorite. We also added the scallops and they were the best scallops I've had hands down. We added the macaroni and cheese and the creamed spinach. The macaroni came with peppers, I wasn't a fan but everything else was great. We got the tarte tatin for dessert and they graciously wrote happy engagement for us. I did ask for the dessert cart and got a small hazelnut torte, it wasn't the best but wasn't bad. My fiance had the a5 old fashion. He said it was the best drink he's had in his life, and that speaks volumes. The restaurant itself is so beautiful and cozy. We absolutely plan on coming back!
Service was fantastic and the magician made the whole experience. Would recommend Swift and Son's to anyone looking for a good night out.
Wonderful food, oysters, salmon, steaks all perfect! The smoked old fashioned with Russel’s Reserve 15 year was terrific!
Swift Sons is a beautifully decorated restaurant with a great atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent drinks. We came here to celebrate our friend’s birthday and had a wonderful experience. Our server, Jordan, was incredibly kind, respectful, and attentive, which made the night even better. We tried both the Chicago Restaurant Week menu and items from the regular menu, and there were plenty of great options to choose from. The only dish we didn’t enjoy was the Chicken Schnitzel, which was a bit dry, but everything else was fantastic. Overall, we loved the ambiance, service, and food, and would absolutely come back again. Highly recommended! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
