Was Santana Adame at Smallbar a mag?
Great local spot in the neighborhood. Relaxed atmosphere with nice background music, and interesting shows on the TVs that make you feel like you're hanging out in a cozy basement. Perfect for a low-key and laid-back bar experience, without any pretentious hipster vibe. 10/10. View all feedback.
What Sean Ferro dislikes about Smallbar:
This place USED to be awesome. Great local atmosphere, the staff was awesome. Small Bar used to bring its own element to the Logan Square neighborhood but they changed ownership last year all the things that made this place special have disappeared. They've seemingly let go of all the original staff, losing the neighborhood/local vibes at this point you can just tell it's being run by yuppies. Would say it's a hard p... View all feedback.

The sign, a shining beacon to indicate that I had indeed, died and gone to heaven. Heaven contained large amounts of cheap hamms, and as many shots of fernet as you desire. The hood system is definitely not working, but this was not a hindrance during my time in heaven. Exceptional. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $30–40

Everything you could want from a neighborhood bar with staff who are at cucumber levels of cool
Amazing atmosphere. Dive bar interior with idyllic patio space. Equal parts rock and roll dive and family friendly spot. Food is Aplus. A true Logan square/Avondale neighborhood gem
Great food, great atmosphere, and great staff make for the trifecta of good reasons to check this place out.

Great bar style food and solid staff. Friendly and fun a true asset to the neighborhood. Long live Avondale!
This neighborhood bar is a must-visit for its unparalleled fried mushrooms, fries, and nachos - the best in the city. Their draft list is top-notch and the patio is a hidden gem that won't be found on any "best-of" lists. I can't wait for this to be my go-to spot when bars reopen.
We had a good time considering the Covid. The bar and people were great. Will go back again m

This is more or less a dive bar with standard bar prices on the menu. It's a great spot to grab a beer and a shot, but not the ideal place for a meal. The burger I had was...
Warm, delicious, and friendly—such a fun spot! It's dog-friendly too, which I love. In the summer, this place really shines. It’s always one of my favorite destinations!
I have lived on this road for a year and often forget how wonderful this hidden gem of a bar is! It’s easy to overlook since it's located at the end of a residential area.
I went a week ago, although it was not something extraordinary with the service, I had a good time, today I returned with 3 more friends, the super hostile service, 2 friends did not have ID, therefore they could not drink alcohol, but we commented that there was no problem, but not only did they not let us stay in the place, but they immediately requested to leave the place in a bad way,At the end another boy from the service asked us what had happened, I thought that he could reason and speak in a good way, but he was still hostile and bad treatment, I really don't know why he treated this way. I am a tourist, last day in Chicago, terrible service I went to The Owl excellent place and it makes a great atmosphere.
