Sipping Turtle Cafe - Chicago
Sipping Turtle Cafe
Description
Sipping Turtle Cafe pairs excellent teas (notably matcha) and quality coffee with fresh pastries, breakfast bowls and croissant sandwiches in a calm, plant-filled space perfect for studying or lazy weekends. Regulars praise desserts, the drink variety and friendly vibe, but experiences are mixed: understaffing, uneven coffee quality (cold brew called out) and occasional service or safety lapses have led to long waits. A charming local spot worth visiting, with the caveat that service and consistency can fluctuate.

I come here all the time so I might as well make a review. I live around the corner and it’s always so convenient to have this cafe by me when I want an iced tea run or if I’m craving milk tea with boba. My sister and I always get the peach black iced tea but the brown sugar milk tea will always have my heart since they opened in 2020. Everyone there is so sweet and overtime I’ve seen the cafe grow. I’ve always liked the plant aesthetic and the music there is great. I’m also happy they added the little water station too hehe. Also you gotta try the ham and cheese croissant. Usually I get it but I tried the guacamole and egg sandwich and I can’t stop ordering it. But yeah 10/10, go if you ever have the chance: -Your neighborhood friend Abby:

A very cozy place to get work done. Everyone that comes in is friendly amd the staff are very professional and nice.
Loved the vibe, the staff and the coffee. Order the dolgano whipped coffee, it's really good.
I absolutely loved this café and the variety offered on their menu. I always enjoy starting my Saturdays or Sundays with a big latte and a bowl of rice porridge (Congee). Based on the menu description, I anticipated a bit more from the pork congee than just three chunks of bacon and a few pieces of scallion, but overall, I was still satisfied with my meal.
