We had a great time at the all-you-can-eat dinner! I really enjoyed the gyoza and wakame salad, although I wasn't a fan of the shumai. The Shinju maki and dragon maki were my favorites. I also appreciated the cash discount! View all feedback.

Worst experience ever…why are they serving their dine patrons on takeout containers and paper plates?? Both waitresses were rude and kept repeating AYCE can’t be shared, well no duhhh ma’am, but why is the table of 10 college students sharing?Service is mediocre at best.Sushi is poor quality, honestly the sushi from Mariano’s Is 100% tastier. Will definitely never be back, also reservations are a must. The biggest letdown, and a major faux pas for a sushi restaurant, was the use of wasabi packets. I expect that when I buy sushi from a grocery store, not from a restaurant that prides itself on fresh offerings. The wasabi in those packets is often overly salty and completely overwhelms the delicate flavors of the sushi. When I'm paying over $60 for sushi, I want real wasabi, not a cheap shortcut. Additionally, the dragon roll I ordered was excessively sweet to the point that I couldn't finish it, which was particularly disappointing since it was the most expensive roll I picked. Overall, I doubt I’ll be ordering from them again. Instead, I'll cherish the good memories from when I first tried their food and look for better options elsewhere.
One of the best places in Hyde Park, do try there Takoyaki and Bento Boxes. Teriyaki's are a good deal here. They have special cheaper( $18) All you can eat Sushi during lunch hours. Definitely worth it.
I ordered takeout from this restaurant and opted for the sushi platter to share. The flavor was excellent, and I believe the quality of the food was quite good overall. However, I was a bit let down by the size of the items in my sushi platter, which were smaller than I anticipated. They appeared larger in the menu picture, but perhaps that was my mistake. On a positive note, the food was prepared on time, and the prices are quite reasonable. So far, this has been the best sushi I've had in the Hyde Park area, and I plan to return in the future.
I'm Japanese. The taste is not that good. So I think it was due to the land problem. This is probably an area where seafood doesn't taste good. After all, there were also creative sushi that you don't see in Japan. For example, California roll.
Pretty laid back sushi spot. I love sushi and have had plenty throughout Chicago — the rolls here are standard, the shumai I had was delicious. I was a bit thrown off by having everything served on paper plates, styrofoam bowls, and cups. The plates were biodegradable but I was concerned with the amount of plastic being used; not great for the environment (so I took a star off for that). The staff was nice and attentive and I liked their all you can eat sushi option. The strawberry ice cream I had at the end was choice I’d come back for sure, I just hope they consider switching to reusable dishes and cutlery.
