Description

Nestled in a somewhat worn location, Serai offers a vibrant Malaysian dining experience that beckons adventurous food lovers. With a diverse menu featuring dishes like Nasi Goreng and curry laksa, patrons rave about the unique flavors and freshness of each meal. The casual atmosphere, complemented by friendly, attentive staff, makes it an ideal spot for both families and foodies alike. While some elements may be hit-or-miss, particularly with dietary accommodations, the restaurant shines with its inventive cocktails and distinctively homey dishes. Overall, Serai emerges as a must-visit destination for anyone craving authentic Malaysian cuisine.

The food was satisfactory, but I've experienced better at other Malaysian restaurants. The portion sizes were generous, though the prices felt a bit steep. The service was commendable, but the kitchen seemed to be struggling. The ambiance was average; the rock music didn’t quite match the Malaysian theme—80s disco would have been a more fitting choice.

Excellent food at a fair cost. Pan Asian food more than Malaysian. Some of our favorites are the drunken noodles, three chili chicken, Mongolian beef, mango chicken, lamb redang. Their sesame chicken, general tsos chicken and orange chicken are also excellent. Can't go wrong with most items.

Serai was a nice surprise. The menu covers many Asian cuisines. When I dined, there was a decent crowd for a Thursday night. Service was attentive. The food was very good. The Sersi martini had a nice Asian twist. I would definitely return.
