This place is amazing. It's spacious and bold, located right in the popular River North area of Chicago. They serve Nada Moo ice cream and have their own bakery. The line was out the door when I visited. They don't have cones, but they serve ice cream sandwiches made with cookies instead. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Scoops Dessert:
The only positive aspect is that the restaurant is fully vegan. However, the ice cream is just average, the donuts are dry, and the portion sizes are small considering the high prices. View all feedback.
This place mainly serves nadamoo ice cream, which generally makes the money less worthwhile as I could pay less for a whole pint of the exact same thing if I went to the supermarket instead. Anyhow, we decided to order the ice cream cookie sandwich, with one each of brownie batter and chocolate chip cookies, and maple pecan ice cream filling. The cookies were alright i appreciate how it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet, yet the texture was very quintessentially gluten free and quite tough to chew on. Not the best kind of cookie to sandwich soft creamy gelato. However, I must say that the decor was incredibly cute. Appreciate the existence of this shop, but wouldn’t list it as a must-visit.
Great place to go when your sweet tooth is ringing. They have cupcakes, cookies, ice cream, etc. They even will make an ice cream sandwich for you with the cookies and ice cream. Only giving 4 stars because the cookies were hard and would have made my ice cream sandwich way more enjoyable if soft.
Very ok vegan ice cream. I got the strawberry cheesecake ice cream, recommended as top seller, and it wasn't for me unfortunately. I guess I expected more.
My heart sank when I came in and realized that their ice creams are all from nadamoo, which is available on food stores. $6 for a single snuck when she was a whole pint at whole foods for a little less than that was autobahn robbery. (granted, they wear aromen that they would normally not see at food sites I would expect homemade ice at this price point. I wouldn't come back.
I have to preface it by saying I didn't try any of their baked goods but it was really nice to see a big selection of NadaMoo ice cream and I *loved* their swings! I would honestly go back just for another swing on a swing but having a cup of ice cream isn't such a bad reason to come out, too.
