what I like most about this place is the price, but not to overshado the delicious fusion of latin and Asian aromen. the mexi phô is very well done. the broth is smokey and spicy with soft pork slowly cooked in traditional latin seasoning. they must try the bacos (bao,) his a fantastic mix of aromen. the slow brewed ropa vieja is beautifully contrasted with the tart fermented kimchi. the panang chicken curry is also... What User doesn't like about Saucy Porka South Loop:
The food is alright, if a little overpriced for the serving sizes. Also served very quickly. However, they do a bad job of packing carry out orders. One time, I ordered a sandwich with sauce on the side and was just given dry bread with dry meat thrown on top. No sauce in the bag. Inedible. I'd go more often if messed up orders weren't a frequent occurrence. View all feedback.
What I like the most about this place is the price but thats not to overshadow the delicious fusion of latin and asian flavors. The mexi phô is very well done. The broth is smokey and spicy with soft pork chunks slow cooked in traditional latin spices. You have to try the bacos (bao), its a fantastic melding of flavors. The slow stewed ropa vieja is nicely contrasted with thetart fermented kimchi. The panang chicken curry is very good also. But my favorite was the duck with plum aoli. Reminded meof traditional mu-shoo style duck in plum sauce. Definitely will be back!! This is a solid 4.5 stars!!
This place was straight up yummy. Me and my boyfriend both got the Puerta Rican rice bowls. His was vegan and mine was with the fried shrimp. We also got a side of their fries and I got the shrimp po mi sandwich and he got the tostones. Everything wasdelicious and I can't wait to go back to try more of their menu items.
Came here for dinner and to shelter from the rain. Ordering was straightforward. Scan QR code and place order online. Each person can order separately, so there is no need to split the bill. Fairly quick service as well. We were coming from a different place, so we had some leftover boba they didn't ask us to throw it out which was nice coz most places don't let you bring outside drinks in.Prices were great and the food we ordered were all amazing. Chicken gumbo, monkey fries, breakfast banh mi, and the Puerto Rican rice bowl. Will definitely come back.
Not everyone's taste and it took a while for me to find something on the menu that I enjoyed. But the food is always delicious and well seasoned. They are also a bit overpricedFood: 5/5
This is a great little lunch spot. At the time of this writing, they have you order your food via a qr code at your seat. The staff was still attentive and brought out water for us. This gave the experience of an elevated small diner.Food: 5/5
